Sabbath Messages > Sabbath Message: February 5, 2005 Good SabbathFebruary 5, 2005 Nothing like a fast trip to the east to remind one of winter; snowed the last day in Washington, D.C. but had a stadium coat that helped a lot. A lot of walking through Georgetown and my favorite book store that I mentioned a year ago. Got caught up in what was going on in various parts of the globe, heard the latest from China's amazing growth, India's amazing growth (the two billion-population places), and spoke about subjects that were connected to making the globe a better place. The trips to and from and through Dallas and Chicago were with few bumps and the approach to Chicago was as beautiful as I could remember. Upon return I got back into the swing of things: Thank You, O Lord I shared one segment with a scientist who shared some things in which he was I helped judge the architects going for their Master's degree in the New School of Architecture.I love interacting with youngsters climbing their pathways towards their futures. Architects come out of school with ambitions on fire and the need for their futures to include being able to express their creativity. Most were interested in finding their spiritual way of accomplishing success which would benefit humanity. One very talented female architect , Caitlin, presented "Architecture and the Soul", which was a comprehensive plan to establish a place for well being and for healing and transformation. Her message was that "architecture is a reflection of the individual and collective consciousness of humankind, mirroring our inner world by creating an environment that nurtures the composition of our beings physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually." It is well that people still work to leave the world better than they have found it, instead of spinning the truth into political messages that hint at the truth only coincidentally. I read the new issue of the Atlantic Monthly, which should be read by everyone, for it immediately shoved one's brain into the reality of what we are facing--the new reality--untarnished by political spin. As I compute these words, I watch my beautiful kitten washing herself; her tongue is her built-in sponge-bath.Two birds are hopping on the backyard fence, playing at fighting; there is no snow, no wind, just a gorgeous winterized summer-day. Thank Thee God for sharing Your world; Let this Sabbath march us closer to peace and harmony as love replaces war and harmony replaces contentiousness. sandy |
